Elementary School Counseling Center

School counselors improve student success by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program. School counselors work to maximize student success, promoting access and equity for all students. As vital members of the school mental health team, school counselors create a school culture of success for all.

Second Step

Second Step social-emotional learning (SEL) programs empower preschoolers, teens and all ages in between to build skills for success. There are a number of research-based programs that work together to provide SEL throughout students’ developmental stages, and in both classroom and out-of-school time settings.

Members of the mental health team teach Second Step to elementary students throughout the school year.
