About Athletics


Cambridge competes as a Class C or D school in Section 2 of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Cambridge is a member of the Wasaren League. The district offers 16 sports across three seasons.

Athletic Placement Process

The Athletic Placement Process (APP) is a program for evaluating students who want to participate in sports at higher or lower levels. The district follows the New York State Education Department guidelines pertaining to the APP. Specific questions about this process should be directed to the athletic director or your child’s coach.

Mixed Competition

The district follows the New York State Education Department guidelines pertaining to interscholastic competition involving members of both sexes on a single school team. Specific questions should be directed to the athletic director or your child’s coach.
