Latin students earn gold, silver on the 2022 National Latin and National Mythology Exams


For more than two decades, CCS Latin students have earned awards on the National Latin Exam, which was taken by more than 100,000 students in more than 50 countries. This year, the National Latin Exam was offered to students ranging from Latin I to AP Latin.

In addition, for the ninth consecutive year, CCS students participated in the National Mythology Exam.

This year’s silver medalist is Audrey Beirne (L III).

Also, Johanna Lynip and Kobe McManus (both L IV) earned a Magna Cum Laude award, and Chaylyn Harrington won a Cum Laude certificate.

National Mythology Exam

The 2022 Pegasus Mythology Exam, offered to 8th graders, includes questions on general classical mythology as well as questions on the story of Theseus.

Ewan Lederer-Barnes earned a gold medal. Nolan Hunt captured a silver medal. Jenna Babushkin and Addison Barton won Cum Laude recognition.

The theme of the 2021 Medusa Mythology Exam, offered to 9th-12th grade students, was “Monstrous Mutations.”
