Attendance
If a student is absent, tardy or leaving school early, please notify the high school attendance office by calling 518-677-8527, ext. 1414.
All absences, tardiness and early departures (ATED) must be accounted for. It is the parent’s responsibility to notify the school office within 24 hours of the ATED and to provide a written excuse upon the student’s return to school.
Excused ATEDs are defined as absences, tardiness, and early departures from class or school due to personal illness, illness or death in the family, impassable roads or weather, religious observance, quarantine, required court appearances, attendance at health clinics, military obligations, or such other reasons as may be approved by the appropriate building administrator (including, but not limited to, absences due to circumstances related to homelessness).
All other ATEDs are considered unexcused absences.
School Visitors
Individuals wishing to enter the school building during the day should do so by visiting one of the secured entrances in the front bus loop. All visitors are required to provide a valid photo I.D. to be scanned prior to entering the building.
Anyone who is not a regular staff member or student of the school will be considered a visitor. Visitors attending school functions that are open to the public after regular school hours, such as meetings or public gatherings, are not required to register.
Any unauthorized person on school property will be reported to the principal or their designee. Unauthorized persons will be asked to leave. Your cooperation on this matter ensures a safe learning environment for all of our students and employees.
Pick-up and Drop Off
Regular parent pick-up and drop off will take place in the Science Wing parking lot. The bus loop is closed to traffic from 7:30 – 8:05 a.m. and from 2 – 2:45 p.m. These times are for school bus traffic only.
Please take the extra time to watch for students in the parking lot and allow them to safely cross.
Please be advised that parents/visitors are not permitted to park in the Town of White Creek office parking lot (across from school) for school functions/activities. Violators will be towed at their own expense.
