Dear parents, guardians and student athletes,
I hope this summer letter finds you and your family well. As we say farewell to the Class of 2023 and July comes to a close, we prepare to enter a month of new beginnings. Known for new beginnings, August has historically been the month we start to transition from summer to fall. Toward the end of August students will be preparing for a fresh new school year, including the start of practices for fall sports. However, before students may participate in a fall sport, they will need to sign up!
As in previous years, we’ll be using FamilyID to register for athletic teams. Parents/guardians will need to register their child on FamilyID. Each child must be registered for each sport in each season. However, once your information is entered, it’s saved for future seasons to expedite the registration process going forward.
All participants will need to be registered and have an up to date physical for athletic participation prior to the first practice. The district will offer physicals free of charge on dates and times that are to be determined. Once dates and times for in-house physicals have been solidified, we will communicate that information to families. If you prefer, you can always obtain a physical from your primary care physician and have the paperwork sent to the school nurse.
For questions pertaining to specific fall sports, please reach out to the coaches of those programs, and they will be able to point you in the right direction. Their contact information can be found below, along with the starting dates and times for each sport.
