On Thursday, April 11, Jerry Gibson announced his resignation as elementary principal effective June 30. Gibson accepted a principal position with the South Glens Falls Central School District.
Gibson joined the district in 2019, serving as the elementary associate principal and CSE chair. He was appointed elementary principal in 2022.
“We would like to congratulate Mr. Gibson on his new position at South Glens Falls,” said Interim Superintendent Ken Facin. “Mr. Gibson made a number of significant contributions to the CCS community and I have no doubt he will do the same in his new role. We wish him well and are thankful for his dedication to the CCS students, staff and families.”
The district is developing a hiring process for the next elementary principal. The district plans to fill the position by July 1 to ensure a smooth transition.
