Voters approve 2024-25 school budget; Price and Honyoust re-elected to the Board of Education


On Tuesday, May 21, Cambridge CSD residents approved the district’s $26.2 million budget proposal for 2024-25 by a tally of 458 yes votes to 231 no votes. The budget passed with 66% approving the proposal.

By a vote of 508 to 185, voters approved the public library proposition.

By a vote of 478 to 210, voters approved a proposition to lease one 70-passenger bus and purchase two 2019 70-passenger buses and one 2024 8-passenger van.

By a vote of 483 to 201, voters approved a proposition to establish a transportation capital reserve fund.

In the Board of Education election, Shay Price (424 votes) and Dillon Honyoust (417 votes) were re-elected. Christine Congelosi-Lulla received 288 votes.

“We are very appreciative and grateful for the community’s support of Cambridge Central School,” said Ken Facin, interim superintendent. “All of our propositions passed because Cambridge residents value education and their schools. Thank you to everyone who came out to vote today.”
